Current Progress (Feb. 16, 2025)

I love coding, but I’ve come to realize that UX/UI is just as important. When I started planning to build an app, I realized there’s so much to do. I’ve been working on this since last summer, but honestly it feels like I’m not getting anywhere.

So, I’ve decided to start with small steps—something that easily connects volunteers with places in need. Volunteers should be able to find opportunities effortlessly.

(Here are some UX designs I’ve worked on so far…)

The Artsy UX design, which I’ve used as reference, is great!

The main point is to make the matching process easy for both volunteers and the people who need support. That’s why I thought of using a simple schedule system; too much text just makes things overwhelming.

Next is coding. I like coding and have learned the basics, but building an app is a whole different game. I’m planning to start development next month once the design is ready.

Then there’s finding the organizations to work with, and this part is the toughest. I looked into the group homes I volunteer at, and there are over 100 just in Seoul. But none of them have websites. Do I really have to call each one individually?

There’s still a long way to go.
