VolKo 의 첫 활동의 단추
I chose to start an English education project because it was the type of education Minwoos seemed to need the most, from the 2 years knowing them. The original plan was to have native/fluent English speakers download teaching material online, but as I spent more time with the Minwoos, I realized that focusing isn’t their strong suit, and that they learn better when they are entertained. So, I think finding fun, entertaining resources is an important part of teaching, especially for young kids.
So I thought about making teaching material myself. Teaching English is important too, but I thought about teaching the Minwoos science, such as physics, which is what I’m most passioante about. I’m not sure about what it exactly could be: something like a book or experiment kit. I’ve done many little “science experiment kits” with the Minwoos, and they often have the same type of experiment. But instead of explaining why the phenomenon occurs, it only focuses on the fun (a bit too much), and it’s sometimes ineffective in actual learning.
So I thought of making books or kits that I can donate to schools in rural areas where they have less access. Physics and art are my biggest passions, so I hope to share this with the Minwoos and all the other children I’ll meet in the future.
